How long will the assessment take?Assessment sessions usually range between 1-4 hours and depending on the assessments used the session may need to be conducted over 2 different days. The length of the assessment session is determined by a few factors:

Can I be reassessed?Yes, but you can only be reassessed on the same assessments after 2 years |
What will be in the report?The report will include:

How long will it take to receive the report?Reports will take 1-2 weeks to complete. You will then be contacted for the feedback session during which you will receive the report, and we will go through the report together. |
Do I need a referral to be assessed?No, you do not need a referral to be assessed. |
Can a psychometrist make a diagnosis?No. While the psychometrist tests the patient, it is the licensed psychologist that interprets and diagnoses the patient. |
Can I fail a psychometric test?No, you cannot fail a psychometric test as the purpose of the assessment is to provide deeper insight into the individual’s psychological functions, for example, cognitive ability, interest or personality. |
Can I prepare for a psychometric test?A psychometric test is not something you need to study for but there are some considerations to keep in mind that would help a client perform their best.
